Cameron Diaz & John Mayer Dating?

Diaz, 34, and Mayer, 29, have known each other for years, but it has been rumored that they have taken their friendship to the next level. The two were spotted out in New York City last night looking pretty cozy according to sources. A source told US Magazine, "They went out to several places…It was the two of them, getting to know each other, out on the town." A source close to Diaz said, "This was technically not their first time hanging out…they've hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It's new and developing…but they really like each other and it went well."

Diaz is currently in New York filming the comedy What Happens In Vegas. She was most recently romantically linked to Mindfreak star Criss Angel. The two reportedly dated briefly but things got weird when his wife came forward and accused Angel of having an affair with Diaz. Before that she dated singer Justin Timberlake for almost four years before the couple called it quits in January. Diaz's rep reportedly had no comment on her relationship with Mayer.

Just recently it was reported that Mayer was dating singer/actress Mandy Moore. The couple were spotted having lunch together recently and at the New York premiere of her newest film Dedication she was asked if the two were involved in a romance. Moore said, "Oh my goodness. John and I have been friends for years, no romance." Mayer was most recently linked to singer Jessica Simpson. The two were reportedly seeing each other off and on over the past year and officially split a few months ago. Mayer's rep said, "We do not comment on our client's personal lives."

Teen Dating- What's Wrong?

Teen dating is one of the most difficult procedures of teenage life. This is because the social pressures surrounding it can be impossible to overcome, especially if you are a teen who is shy or has some awkwardness about him or her. This type of awkward personality is difficult to sidestep in the world of teen dating, especially if you find that it follows you around like a shadow. Overcoming awkwardness is bad enough in school or at your minimum wage job, but the difficulty and complications can be downright overwhelming when you are out on a date.

Of course, this is not to say that all teen dating experiences will be disastrous or will contain incidents of major social faux pas. There are many times in which teen dating takes place without any such incident and the date goes on successfully to result in an incredible time for all participants.

This, however, requires the teen to be less awkward than most and to be as suave as James Bond times ten thousand. The hyperbole is not misplaced, either, as teens are some of the most scrutinised human beings on the face of the earth.

The perils of teen dating present tasks and challenges in front of teenagers that many simply are not equipped to face. Things like ordering food for a member of the opposite sex and pulling chairs out for your date are not commonplace in the world, let alone in the world of teen dating. These are "musts", however, and should be encouraged among all teen daters so as to procure a great sense of positivity to the whole experience. Without that positivity, the world of teen dating will suffer a major blow and Chuck E. Cheese's will likely be driven out of business.

Remember One Thing

One of the most important things to remember is the notion of self-respect. In all things related to dating, do not forget to remember yourself and who you are when you are out there in that jungle. It is easy to try to become another person to impress a date, but in the end the one thing that is respected above all else is someone who never abandons their principles or their ideologies just for a kiss or a snuggle. Remember to stand on your own two feet in the harsh, cold world of teen dating.
